Climbing the Südwand Klettersteig on the Persailhorn was an incredible experience. Rated B/C, it offered a good mix of challenging exposure and manageable difficulty. The initial sections were relatively straightforward, allowing me to warm up and get used to the rock. As I progressed higher, the route became more exposed, with airy traverses and some steeper sections requiring more commitment. The fixed cables and ladders were well-maintained, providing a secure sense of confidence. The views from the via ferrata were absolutely stunning, encompassing the surrounding peaks and valleys. Reaching the summit of the Persailhorn after conquering the Südwand Klettersteig was a truly rewarding feeling. It's a climb that demands a reasonable level of fitness and some via ferrata experience, but the combination of exhilarating climbing and breathtaking scenery makes it an unforgettable adventure.
